Edson  

With a population of 7,399, Edson has a full range of retail stores and restaurants. 
They have a number of  recreational facilities including a swimming pool with waterslide,
18-hole golf course, movie theatre, bowling alley, museums,
and numerous lakes and rivers for canoeing & fishing.

Winter activities and facilities include:
curling rink, indoor and outdoor ice arenas, cross-country ski trail systems, biathlon trails,
luge, snowmobile areas and a skating oval.

 

Hinton

Hinton is located just east of one of Canada's famous Jasper National Park.
In addition to the facilities within the national park, Hinton boasts of a large number of nearby parks
and recreation areas including Emerson Lakes, Rock Lake, and William A. Switzer Provincial Park.

The Recreation Centre has two skating rinks, a swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool,
racquetball and squash courts, day care, peoples centre and library .
Other recreation facilities include a curling rink, automobile race track, tennis courts, parks,
the Hinton Municipal Library, Hinton Golf and Country Club (18 holes, grass greens)
and a Nordic Ski Centre for cross-country skiing.

 

Jasper  

Located in the middle of Jasper National Park in Alberta's Rocky Mountains,
Jasper's friendly mountain hospitality, peaceful low-key atmosphere, and the promise
of adventure will make your visit unforgettable.

Famous for the world renowned Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and its golf course,
Jasper is also close to the spectacular Columbia Icefields,
part of the Icefields Parkway and the Eastern Slopes

Mayerthorpe

During the summer months enjoy a game of baseball, kick around the soccer ball

Sangudo

The Village of Sangudo has a wide range or recreational facilities,
including a large multi-purpose arena that is used for the Annual August Rodeo, summer gymkhanas,
stock shows and hockey and figure skating in the winter.

Stop by the Sangudo Speedway, you may even catch a race!

Water sports are also available in the nearby Pembina River. The wide range of community organizations active in Sangudo attests to the strong community spirit of the Village's residents.

 

Whitecourt

 Whitecourt is the snowmobile Capital of Alberta! 
Located in the middle of miles of forested lands and rugged terrain creates many recreational opportunities.

Summer months bring out avid fishermen, mountain bikers, hikers and all-terrain vehicle operators.
For golfers there is the Whitecourt Golf and Country Club, a beautiful 18-hole course.

Whitecourt is a winter playground for those who hunt, ice fish, cross-country ski and snowmobile.
Whitecourt also offers a snowboard hill and toboggan hill within Town limits.
